Generalized Mehler semigroups and applications

چکیده

We construct and study generalized Mehler semigroups (pt)t≥0 and their associated Markov processes M. The construction methods for (pt)t≥0 are based on some new purely functional analytic results implying, in particular, that any strongly continuous semigroup on a Hilbert space H can be extended to some larger Hilbert space E, with the embedding H ⊂ E being Hilbert-Schmidt. The same analytic extension results are applied to construct strong solutions to stochastic differential equations of type dXt = CdWt + AXtdt (with possibly unbounded linear operators A and C on H) on a suitably chosen larger space E. For Gaussian generalized Mehler semigroups (pt)t≥0 with corresponding Markov process M, the associated (non-symmetric) Dirichlet forms (E , D(E)) are explicitly calculated and a necessary and sufficient condition for path regularity of M in terms of (E , D(E)) is proved. Then, using Dirichlet form methods it is shown that M weakly solves the above stochastic differential equation if the state space E is chosen appropriately. Finally, we discuss the differences between these two methods yielding strong resp. weak solutions. Generalized Mehler Semigroups and Catalytic Branching Processes with Immigration

Skew convolution semigroups play an important role in the study of generalized Mehler semigroups and Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes. We give a characterization for a general skew convolution semigroup on real separable Hilbert space whose characteristic functional is not necessarily differentiable at the initial time. A connection between this subject and catalytic branching superprocesses is est...

DLSS (2001/03/15) Generalized Mehler Semigroups and Catalytic Branching Processes with Immigration

A generalized Mehler semigroup (Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup) associated with some strongly continuous semigroup of linear operators on a real separable Hilbert space may be defined by using a skew convolution semigroup. Under a mild moment assumption, it is proved that the characteristic functional of any centered skew convolution semigroup is absolutely continuous and characterizations are gi...

GENERALIZED POSITIVE DEFINITE FUNCTIONS AND COMPLETELY MONOTONE FUNCTIONS ON FOUNDATION SEMIGROUPS

A general notion of completely monotone functionals on an ordered Banach algebra B into a proper H*-algebra A with an integral representation for such functionals is given. As an application of this result we have obtained a characterization for the generalized completely continuous monotone functions on weighted foundation semigroups. A generalized version of Bochner’s theorem on foundation se...

GENERALIZED UNI-SOFT INTERIOR IDEALS IN ORDERED SEMIGROUPS

For all M,N∈P(U) such that M⊂N, we first introduced the definitions of (M,N)-uni-soft ideals and (M,N)-uni-soft interior ideals of an ordered semigroup and studied them. When M=∅ and N=U, we meet the ordinary soft ones. Then we proved that in regular and in intra-regular ordered semigroups the concept of (M,N)-uni-soft ideals and the (M,N)-uni-soft interior ideals coincide. Finally, we introduc...

Regular ordered semigroups and intra-regular ordered semigroups in terms of fuzzy subsets

Let $S$ be an ordered semigroup. A fuzzy subset of $S$ is anarbitrary mapping   from $S$ into $[0,1]$, where $[0,1]$ is theusual interval of real numbers. In this paper,  the concept of fuzzygeneralized bi-ideals of an ordered semigroup $S$ is introduced.Regular ordered semigroups are characterized by means of fuzzy leftideals, fuzzy right ideals and fuzzy (generalized) bi-ideals.Finally, two m...
